The critism was not intended as a critism of the hard work that all that stepped forward and took on the tough task of organising any teachmeet.
I am wondering why people are stepping back? Perhaps the smaller TM’s will be a good step forward and encourage more people to speak at the larger ones

THanks for the backstory on the ustream Drew.
PubMeet sounds good, there have been a few BeerMeets ,but very informal you plans sound as if they will fill a need.
A difference from the previous TM at the Science centre was the space, before it was one big space with lots of dark corners, participants were encouraged to ignore speakers and talk to others if that seemed appropriate to them.
As for the 2 minute ad It seems to have been remove from my memory of the evening!
What is great about TM is the way it freely evolves.
